Invisible taxiways !

Post by olivier101 » Sun Apr 25, 2004 10:48 pm

Hi,
Congratulations for the impressive work!

However, I have one big concern: sometimes the taxiways are just invisible ! For example, I landed on rwy 6, and there was just no taxiway to exit the runway... I could see AI planes as well rolling over the background texture, and when I asked for progressive taxi, it showed the pink dots over the grass... Today I started from 36L, and there was no taxiway leading to the runway, the runway seemed to be laid out in the middle of the fields !

Is this something you're aware of? Does it have to do with the ground level thing ? Is there something I can do to fix this ? I'd hate to go back to the default EHAM :(

Thanks !

I've checked, and it happens with or without the altitude fix.
Here's a picture taken on taxiway V, it looks like the taxiway sinks into the grass...

Hi,

We know of a problem with this particular runway (socalled 5th runway), which is new, both in real life and in our secenery. We are working on a fix, which we will release as soon as we are sure that it is working properly. So, have patience, and check this web site every once in a while.

Regards,

Peter

Th is problem away when you use landable water model (see featurepanel, NL2000 Misc).

It works ! Thanks johanc....

I don't know how both can be related, but it works. However, I notice a frame rate drop with this option, so I hope you can fix it without having to activate landable water.

Thanks again!

We are working on this. The solution is known, but you have to wait for a fix.
