AI Submarines!!!

Post by 2cv6 » Tue Apr 13, 2004 6:14 am

Can someone please help.

I have just installed the NL 2000 scenery. I am really amazed by the detail. Really well done guys! There are two problems which I would like to get solved.

1. At EHAM all of the AI parked on the ground are below ground! For some of the smaller aircraft, just the tail is visible. They will taxi and take off from below! Landing AI seem to be O.K. they land, taxi and park on the surface, yet when parked, the aircraft next door, will be below ground. althought the one just parked will not! The aircraft I am using will, as far as I can tell remain on the surface at all times.

2. Can I eliminate the water textures that came with NL 2000? I am using Bill Lyons' textures and would prefer to keep them. I have activated the option to keep the default textures, but this does not sem to help. The included textures are quite static, with no waves lapping up on to the beach etc.

B.T.W. I am using FS 2004. Pentium 4/3.2 ghz. 2gb. RAM G force 128mb video card.

Ai traffic in the ground can be placed at the correct altitude with featurepanel. Click on NL2000 Misc. and check 'NL2000 altitude - FS2004 only'.

Water textures can be eliminated by unchecking the 'use NL2000 water textures - FS2004 only' checkbox. Then automatically your original water textures are returned. I'm not sure if this will return the wavelapping, this isn't implemented in the NL2000 scenery.

This checkbox will also be automatically unchecked, by seleceting 'Automatically uncheck features, which overwrite MSFS files'. Be sure to click on 'Apply changes' thereafter, because at that moment the selctions are processed.

With online flying, buth online users should use the nl2000 scenery and the nl2000 altitude settings. If another user is flying without nl2000, his altitude would be diferent of nl2000 and therfore the plne will sink into the nl2000 ground or stay above the nl2000 ground (depending where you land in The Netherlands).
