Not enough ram?

Hi there,

Just installed NL 2000 v4. Everything went well. When starting from any airport in NL, I get an error-message and FSX is shutting down. It says there is not enough ram available and I should decrease my settings. But with all levers to the left, I´ll get the same result.
My System: Asus P5, Intel C2 E6850, 4GB Gskill CL5, 550W, ATI HD4870,
HDD 2000GB/ more than 150GB left on each Partition. Win XP HE SP3, FSX SP2. I have no Problems to run other photoscenery, even with detailed airports.

Hi Andreas,

It is difficult te discover somebody,s problem, if you dont have it yourself, but some advices .
1. Did you have activated DX10 preview ? it must be deactive
2. Are there other programs running , besides FSX ( see taskmanager )

1. No it´s DX9. DX10 isn´t possible with XP I guess?
2. Sure they are (Antivir...) but nothing what affects any other addon like CH pro, VFR-Germany, German Airports.....

Maybe you have to alter your recommendations for system requirements? What a pity, but I´m afraid, at this point I have to abandon the FSX-thing, because I´m not willing to upgrade my system once more.

You can try to defragment your HDD, perhaps it helps.

I already did. I also tried different and even fresh formated partions to store the scenery-files.

Can you disable all photographic of NL2000 in your library.
And also all airfields of NL2000 except for one airfield for example EHLE (lelystad airport)

So only have EHLE active of NL2000 in FSX.
Can you tell me what is the result then?

Hi wolf,

all airports are working. Groningen together with Drenthe as well. Recently I´m trying to install the photoparts step by step and will report soon.

....Alright, got it! It´s "Flevoland". Everytime it is activated, FSX crashes. The rest of this terrific scenery is working very well. Even with settings in the right quarter. Any idea what could be wrong with FL?

Is it possible, that you also have installed : Lelystad from Aerosoft as well ?

No I did not. My read is there was a hidden failure when downloading the package.

Can you de-activate all of NL2000 except for FL.
So startup only with FL of NL2000.

Wolf,
I proceeded as you told me. FL only, no further NL scenery. The same result! It makes no difference where I start from. Flevoland affects a wide area, as you can see on the birds-view shot.



To get FSX running again, I took a start location in Poland.

Ok, than the only thing you can do is to download FL again.

Try the ftp for Photo scenery it's much quicker than a torrent download and after downloading FL you can do a MD5 checksum to be sure that the download is complete and succesfull
