NL2000 v3 installed size
Hello,
The total size of the installation files of NL2000 v3 is 21 Gb, but what will be the size of the scenery once installed on the hard disk? Will it be 21 Gb as well or less or depending on what is installed?
Thanks.

terrible slow download speed horrible
thanks so much but the download is so so so slow it will take Century at this speed and by the time i get it download NL 2000 4.0 will be out. we need faster links that need to be setup to download these large files other wise the servers are going to get overloaded system will crash up then nobody would be able to download them like this.
OUCH! Bit torrent maybe was a good idea because of the file size, but you need to release some huge extra bandwith
File sharing is a good idea, only when you can share and get some FAST! otherwise people will loose interest
It bugs me to think I will have to wait 18 days to get it all
according to bit torrent. Never thought of Emule BTW?
Can't wait to try this scenery, 2.90 was a blast
My 2 cents

Just some advice for increasing your download speed:
1. Several people on the dutch forum say that the BitTorrent program from the 'easy' download option is very slow. It's better to use a bittorrent client like Azureus or uTorrent. I use uTorrent myself and my download speed of all discs together is about 180 kb/s
2. Make sure you have forwarded the correct port(s) of your bittorrent client in your router/modem. In my case the speed got 3x faster after doing this.
3. If you use a bittorrent client you can run all 5 torrents at the same time, so it will go 5x faster. You have to make sure that your maximum of active torrents is set to a minimum of 5.
4. Download speed will likely get higher after a few days, when there are more downloaders and seeders.
Hope it works!

Ok here we go:
1. At the bottom right of the uTorrent screen, you should see a green circle with a 'v' in it. If you see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it instead, it means you can't receive incoming connections. In the last case you must click on it and test if your ports are forwarded properly and forward them if they aren't. You may also enable encryption.
2. go to options>preferences>connection and check wether the maximum download rate is set to 0 (unlimited). If not, do so. Lowering the maximum upload rate might work too.
3. If you use Windows Firewall, go to the properties of your network connection>advanced tab>windows firewall settings>exceptions>add port.
-name: uTorrent port or anything you like
-port: the port set in uTorrent (you can see it in uTorrent by going to options>speed guide>number 2 under 'current port'
-check TCP
-click ok
good luck!

OK, I downloaded UTorrent. My router is not mapped to the port that is needed by UTorrent, so I have to go through the process of a static IP address and forward porting. Before I do that, I have a couple of questions. Keep in mind I am basically illiterate on these things.
1. Will doing those things affect my ability to fly on-line?
2. Are they reversible, once all these files are downloaded?
3. Several other members of my family have computers and use a wireless network through the router to gain access to the internet. If I do these steps, will it affect their ability to access the internet?
Thanks for your help./
