EHAM runway elevation incorrect

Post by Ruahrc » Thu May 19, 2005 11:44 am

I just installed NL2000 and am very impressed that you have created a whole country of scenery! I did find one problem, however. EHAM is situated at 0 feet elevation, which is incorrect. In real life it sits at about -12 feet below sea level. Is there a way to "sink" the entire airport so that it reads the correct elevation?

Also, I am having trouble with the new runway Poderbann. The runway seems to be elevated to the rest of the airport (0ft MSL) but the surrounding grass is sunk down to about -10ft. This makes a strange optical effect as the taxiways and taxi signs, etc. do not move in sync with the ground. Is there a fix for this too?

I have FSG Mesh installed if that is what is causing this problem...

Hallo Ruahrc,

Have you used the feature panel to set the elevation right?
Click the NL2000 misc tab and mark NL2000 altitude. Don't forget to click apply changes before you close the program.

I think this will solve your problem with Rotterdam. Amsterdam will stay at 0 feet, as we have choosen not to use negative altitude.

Hello,

I have just the same problem as Ruahrc concerning EHAM. I have NL2000 v2.91 with the upgrade to v2.92 which is manually installed. (I didn´t find the files that should be deleted from NL2000/scenery -directory, only files ending "api" instead of "excl_vtp", if that could have something to do with this.) I also have the NL2000 altitude marked from the feature panel, changes applied after doing all this, and FS restarted, but still the grass surrounding Polderbaan is below the other parts of Schiphol.
Help very appreciated, would like to get this great scenery working smoothly.

EDIT: Ok, I had still Polderbaan remaining from my default EHAM . But now everything seems to work as should, great!
