I have installed nl2000 in FS2002 (with some difficulty) and have found that aircraft altimeters show the aircraft to be some 1200ft below sea level when on the ground all over the world. Is it the way I have installed it or is this a known or not known problem?

Hallo Jim,
Sound weard to me. You wrote you had some difficulties, most of the time it means that the user had to install part of it manually.
What went wrong in your case?
After that, in many cases it's forgotten, that the scenery.cfg has to be changed manually as well.
You have to find in the area of NL2000_2 in the scenery.cfg (in the main root of FS2002) the following lines:
Flatten.0=0,N53 44,E03 13,N53 44,E07 28,N51 20,E07 28,N51 20,E03 13
Flatten.1=114,N51 20,E05 30,N51 20,E06 10,N51 03,E06 10,N51 03,E05 30
Flatten.2=375,N51 03,E05 30,N51 03,E06 10,N50 40,E06 10,N50 40,E05 30
If not, add them, and check if things are right now. If not, pls let me know, probabely you have to reinstall NL2000.

Many thanks for your reply. As I mentioned, I had great difficulty getting nl2000 installed. I could not get away from the set-up program. In desperation I reinstalled FS2000, installed both nl2000 and the update and copied it into the folder I use for add-on scenery, putting in the flatten lines as well into Scenery.cfg. Following your reply I took it all out, reinstalled it in FS2000 but this time copied it into Scenery in FS2002. All seems to be OK. It cannot have liked being in my scenery folder. The scenery is excellent. When you next update it are you going to make the water soft as it is in FS2002? Using an amphibian or float plane in the Netherlands could be interesting. Many thanks again.
