scenery.cfg backup?

Hi,
I just installed several NL2000 packages on my system. Unfortunately, the scenery.cfg seems to be destroyed afterwards. The problem is that I had German "Umlaut" in the scenery titles and paths which is usually no issue for FSX. The "umlauts" have been replaced by some weird characters during install, e.g.:
[Area.001]
Title=Standardgel�nde
...

And I haven't found any backup of the scenery.cfg?! (OldScenery.CFG is not up to date)

I have install the NL scenery today and working fine. (31-05-2010)
But the scenery.cfg is a "old" one from 21-04-2010 ,there is nothing cheange in my scenery.cfg
