NL2000 and scenery library

Post by tonyc » Tue Dec 09, 2014 6:37 pm

I am new to the NL2000 scenery and recently downloaded 1 or two airport sceneries which are very good. Thank you!

I am intrigued at how the NL2000 installer works because I don't see the scenery anywhere in my FSX scenery library!

I use Scenery Config Editor to control the amount of scenery i am loading for each flight and so I can't control NL 2000 scenery that way which is not a problem I just don't understand how it works without showing in Scenery Library?

Thanks for any answers.

Hi

You have to install the installer first.
After installing it, you can install the packages you want to install with the "installed" installer.

But read the manual first

Thank you for the reply Joop but I don't think you understand me.

I have installed the installer and it installed the scenery just fine but I don't see the scenery in my FSX Scenery Library so I can't change the priority if I wanted to or switch the scenery on and off.

What I asked is if it is not in the Scenery Library, where is it and how does it exist in FSX?

Many thanks

Tony

Its ok it does now appear in my Scenery Library so I understand thatthe installer simply places the scenery there its just that I cannot see how it does this.

Hi Tony

Sorry for the misunderstanding,
But the installer always add the items in the FSX library ( scenery.cfg ) file.

Maybe the installer cannot find the registry of FSX.
Is FSX replaced after installing ?

But if not I don't know way the FSX library is not added.
But you can do this in this case manual.
Keep the following priorities :
The traffic the lowest priority,
than the province resample items,
and above that the NL2000 libraries, traffic and 3D objects
and give the airports the highest priority

good luck
