Problem with instalation

Hello, I'm just trying to install your scenery from few days and I unfortunately can't. I downloaded the installer, librairy, 3d object and the NH zone. I installed the installer. But when I begin to install the library i have the following message : System,NullReferenceExeption : la reference d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet, à NL2000V4_0 Main,installPackage(String filename) à NL2000V4_0_Main,addPackage() My windows is in french, but i try to translate in english : The reference of object is not defined in an authority of an object. I made a lot of try but no success. I delete and re-install the installer again and again, now i don't know what can I do ? Could you help me please ? Thanks Gerald

Did you run the newest installer ? and did you run it as "administrator"?

Yes I download the installer yesterday in order to be sure. 4.0.49 version.

and I run it as administrator.

The only thing I can't do is install the installer as administrator because with the msi file, it's standard i think. The right click on the mouse only says "install"

Than try to delete all what is in the file nl2k_v4_InstallerData ( where you install the NL2000 scenery ) and run the installer again

there is nothing in this folder C:\NL2000\nl2k_v4_InstallerData.

the next suggestion is :
go to the map of the installer ( not the icon)
and click with the right mouse on NL2000v4.0.exe and then click on the "run as administrator".

One other user had the same problem that disapeared after redownloading the library file.
Something went wrong with the download.
With the new downloaded file the installer worked well.

So you try that as well.

another suggestion .
One other user had the same problem that disapeared after redownloading the library file.
Something went wrong with the download.
With the new downloaded file the installer worked well.

So you try that as well.

Hallo Joop,
Ik heb jouw discussie met ggdudoubs gevolgd en nagevolgd, tevergeefs.
De setup kan ik alleen maar "Installeren", dus niet "als administarator" (UAC uitgeschakeld).
Install kan ik wel "als administrator" uitvoeren, maar dan krijg ik niet het startscherm met de copyright en disclaimer boodschappen, maar rechtstreeks de "add package"scherm.
Gevolg: ik kan de libraries niet installeren omdat de installer er niet om vraagt!!
De versie van de installer is 4.0.49.0 volgens de Eigenschappen/Details.
Graag jouw advies, Henk.

GA naar de map waarin de installer is geïnstalleerd , bv.
C:/program files (x86)/NL2000/NL2000v4_installer en klik dan met de rechter muisknop op het NL2000V4_0.exe en je kan dan als adminstrator installeren

thx Joop, dat werkt idd ....
maar ik kan nl2k_v4.04_libraries nog steeds NIET installeren; het is een map en mijn installer accepteert alleen maar .nl2 bestanden.
hoe nu ... ? ...

Nu is het niet handig om dit probleem op nog een ander forum item ook aan de orde te stellen.
Een keer de vraag stellen is toch genoeg, maar het volgende.

Downloaden kan via de site o.a. op 2 manieren. Via de http of de http mirror . De eerste levert een zip bestand en de 2e direct het nl2 bestand. Je moet het nl2 bestand dus daar vandaan halen.

sorry, maar ik dacht dat ik je aandacht verloren had ...
ik ben daar dus ook al achter gekomen; maar hoe krijg je dan van een zipfile een nl2 bestand voor de installer ?

In het laatste bericht schrijft Joop dat je direct een .nl2 bestand krijgt als je via de http mirror-site de download uitvoert.
Probleem opgelost, toch..?
