user defined break point on install

Post by Bradleycol1947 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 10:04 pm

I initially posted this in the download section by mistake and as |I have not had a response I thought that I had better post it here instead.

I have run your scenery successfully for some time. Unfortunately I recently had to rebuild my system and when I came to run the installer on anything later than version 4.0.20 I get a user defined break point message and the following details.
Description:
Stopped working

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: nl2000v4_0.exe
Problem Signature 02: 4.0.4694.31546
Problem Signature 03: 509a900f
Problem Signature 04: mscorlib
Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0
Problem Signature 06: 503f01b1
Problem Signature 07: 1aad
Problem Signature 08: 1c
Problem Signature 09: Debugger.Break
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 2057

I don't have all of the older downloads that work with 4.0.20 so I can only load NL2000 if I can get a later installer working.. I am running Win 7 64 bit and FSX Acceleration. I am running with Admin rights and with UAC on lowest setting. I would appreciate and advice anyone could give me on how to resolve this!

Regards Colin

Did you install software like .net etc (see manual)?
Did you install FSX , or just copied the files to your rebuild system?

Yes .Net is installed. and I have built my system from scratch, re-installing FSX and everything else rather than copying files. I am at a loss to what if anything is different on this build from the others that I have done from time to time.

user defined break point on install

No anti virus on at the moment. I install antivirus after loading all my other flightsim software.

I was hoping that this was a simple problem that someone had experienced before, however after searching the internet I can't find anyone experiencing this failure with FSX.

I hope that someone can shed some light on it as I would sorely miss NL2000 scenery. On the other hand it takes me days to rebuild from scratch due to my UK and EIRE VFR Scenery.

I think many of us are having problems with that.
The solution is simple: Just keep on tapping "cancel" and eventually it works.
The problem is that it happens with every part that you want to install.
I know it works because I got all scenery installed now.
The first time I noticed this was with the installer of version 4.03.
Maybe it is a 64bit problem?

Good luck

Thanks for that advice it seems to be working. At least I have most of the photo scenery files loaded so far. When I got the error message I assumed that either nothing had loaded or something was corrupt.
