Cannot install libraries file

I have read the other answers relating to installaton, but when I try to install, say the libraries, I get an error msg.
I have created an empty folder nl2k in the standard FSX Addon Scenery folder (not on my C drive), and go through the process as per the instructions, but then I get the msg Unable to install NL2000 into the chosen folder - Please select another directory. I am running this as administrator.
Can you offer any suggestions?

David,
Are you using the new installer ? ( version 20)
The old v17 and 18 are not able to install anymore.
The old installer has to be uninstalled first.

Try to disable the UAC ( User Account Control) for the installation.

Hi Joop

Yes I am using v4.0.20, and have tried it with UAC turned off, but it made no difference unfortunately.
I tried the 3D objects file , but it said that the libraries must be installed first.

Ho David

Yes the library file has to be installed first.
But what is the exact error message you get?

Hi Joop

Just thought I'd try one of the other files to see if it came up with the same msg.

The exact msg on trying to install the libraries file is:
Unable to install NL2000 into J:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\nl2k.
Please select another directory.

For info, J is the last and biggest partition on my drive, where I have all my flightsim stuff.

Hope this info helps

David, try to install outside the Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\.
For example J:\NL2000. or only J:\ and see where it's install.

If you read the manual you can see thy don't install in the Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\ but outside.

I have Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ on my F:\ and NL2000 on my P:\
