Problem after un-installing NL2000v3

Post by fsclips » Tue Mar 30, 2010 7:54 pm

Hi all!

I have had NL2000v3 on my PC for a while. However, recently I decided to un-install it.

Since then the coastline of the Netherlands is not the usual soft line, but big squares. I have checked that the Western Europe scenery is ticked (it is).

I guess there must be a missing file somewhere. Does anyone know how to fix this? Strangelyy enough the lakes and rivers look fine.

Thanks in advance

stefan

How did you un installed the software?

The best option is to do it from the NL-2000 panel with the original FS9 cd's inserted because than all the files will be restored as default.

Hi!

I tried to install it with the auto-installer, but it didn't work so I followed the instruction and did it manually.

Now that the scenery is gone, is there still the possibility to copy the replacement files from the FS9 CD?

Thanks

Stefan

You can insert the FS 9 CD's and choose the restore/repair option however there is a risk that you will loose al your addons.

Better is to install the NL2000 scenery and the run the other un-install option ;) So if you have the installer try that first.

I also have this problem with the coast after an uninstall of NL2000 V3.
I used the uninstaller that was in the NL2000 folder. Not the NL2000 feature panel.
Is this my error ?

I have the same problem, since I had some CTD with NL2000 I decided to uninstall it for a while.

In the featurepanel I used first the restore button, and everything went well. Thereafter I used the uninstall button. Now I have problems with FS9, will explain it below.

What happend:
- Some existing scenery's are lost, well not visible anymore but still in the library (scenery's like Simwings GCLA, GCTS. GAP LGTS)
- Because of this the AES function of Aerosoft isn't working on these airports.
- And blocking coastline in some area's.

Raymond

Featurepanel does not alter other scenery then nl2000. Probabliy the best way to restore your other scenery, reinstall them, or add the scenery manually to the scenery.cfg

Also the nl2000 scenery does not alter the coastline, so I expect that the orther scenery did, and beause they are not active anymore, the coastline is not right.

of course, this is an assumption...

Hi Johan,

What I did, I manually add the files from my FS9 Cd's into the Scenery directory.

Seems fine now, hoping to reinstall NL2000 soon without the crash I had: http://www.nl-2000.com/nuke/modules.php ... pic&t=3015

Thanks Johan and Damien.
