Out of Memory Error Message on FS9 start-up

Post by SimJon7 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 5:45 pm

I have just spent the best part of 9 days over the Christmas and New Year Break to download your scenery NL2000 v3.0 SE almost 24GB. I installed the software files in turn from an external hard drive then re-booted the PC. I ran FS2004 and after about 15 seconds a pop-up appeared stating "Out of Memory, there is no disk space, try using Disk Cleanup to free up space on the hard drive". This I did and only saved 94KB. There is and was already 51GB available. I have since uninstalled the scenery and my Flight Sim still does not work at all. The same error message is displayed followed by another pop-up stating that the Flight Sim will be terminated. Please may you be of any assistance? Your scenery looks fantastic and I was very much looking forward to using it, however, I am now desperate to get my FS9 flyable once again! :(

It looks to me that you have a PC problem. This is not a NL2000 scenery problem.
Have you tried to increase ( or decrease ) your virtual memory ?

Many thanks for your reply. There is no implication that there is a problem with your scenery, it is just the coincidence of this occurrence. I shall investigate your suggestion about the the virtual memory, although I don't know what I am supposed to do.

The only thing besides a new installation of FS2004 is to defragment your harddrive with windows defragmenter, just to try don't know if it's the sollution.
