Oil Platforms

Post by MiniMark » Mon Apr 06, 2009 7:08 pm

Hi everyone,

Been looking at the manual and it lists the platforms in the North Sea. Are they all included in the scenery? :)

Thanks MiniMark

We don't have screenshots of the platforms. You have to fly to them

Bit of help please. I've flown around the North Sea for a few hours, looking for L7-PQC, L10-C L10-D, L10-E and others mainly in the Pentacon field what are in the manual (i've got charts for the area so i'm at the correct location). The only offshore object i can find is a small support ship just North West of Den Helder. I've ticked the 3d objects etc.. but still nothing

The oilplatform are exact on the right place. Maybe you can use the charts (e.g. http://www.ais-netherlands.nl/, see the vfr guide))

Hi thanks for the reply, yes they are the charts i use, plus the references from Inde. I'm at the correct locations but nothing is showing apart from the small support vessel just outside Den Helder on the coast (roughly North West direction). Any idea why?

I don't know which exactly but can you check your scenery settings sliders that they are not to minimal in FS2004. That can cause that some objects will not show in FS2004

All pretty much whacked up. Should they appear on FSNav as after i updated that they didn't appear? I appreciate the time and help :)

What you can do: in the saved flights, we have some flights installed in version 3 that start nearby the oilplatform (refer to the descriptions for the right flight). Can you check if this works?

Kind regards.

Hi, yes them ones appear, looks like the location of P15-ACD. Odd though that the others i can't find namely L7-PQC which is in the manual. Are they all packaged into one .bgl or will they have separate ones?

They are in several bgl's. Is is depending on geographical location.
