Installing V 2.9x under Ms FS X

I understand that V 3 cannot be installed under Ms FS X !

Is it possible to install V 2.9x under Ms FS X, as Ms FS X is capable of importing Add-on Scenery for Ms FS 2004 ?

If so, could somebody pls describe/outline the correct procedure.

V2.9 is also not compatible with FS X.
