Aerial images - source and license

Post by Gustav » Sun Jul 13, 2008 10:15 pm

Hello NL2000-Team!

First, let me congratulate you for your splendid work. But when reading the manual thoroughly, I didn't find any information concerning the source and the licensing of the aerial imagery.. :(

I didn't find any information on your homepage or in the forum either. I'd really like to use your scenery, but not without knowing everything there is to know about this topic - just to be sure.

Can you help?

Thanks in advance,
Gustav

Hi Gustav,

First of all this scenery is freeware, the only thing is that this scenery may not be spread to make money with it.

Concerning the aerial images, we have a contract with the supplier and gives us freely use of the images for our projects only, we may not spread the images seperatly.
Besides of that the Royal Dutch AirForce checked our scenery and gave us approval to release this photographical scenery.

So the bottom line is you may use and spread this scenery only for free.

Hope this will answer your question.

Kind regards

Thanks for your info, wolf!

Just to be sure, we're talking about "aerodata", right? That's amazing! 8O
Maybe it's a good idea to add that important information to the manual,
just to avoid confusion.

Greetings,
Gustav
