Firstly, I have just downloaded NL2000v3 and it is stunning - the most detailed freeware scenery I have ever seen
I do not have any confilicts (that I've found) with Ultimate Terrain Europe but since (I believe) FS9 will draw all terrain vector data regardless of layer, I think the UTE coastlines and roads etc are still being drawn. Since the two are positioned so well, the overlap is good enough to not notice... I was wondering if removal of the UTE coastlines and roads from NL area would improve framerate by reducing the number of drawing operations - anyone from the NL2000 crew have an opinion here?
The other question is why does the night scenery take up so much resources? I would assume that it is a seperate scenery layer that is loaded instead of the day textures or am I wrong? If the night scenery can be activated when it's dark, I assume the day scenery can be similarly deactivated at the same time...
Cheers for any info!
Geoff
