Weird install problem

I first downloaded and installed this scenery when
it came out, after burning files to the DVDs. It all
went like a dream. However I've recently tried to reinstall
after a major PC rebuild and keep getting an error message
that says:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xae8 (2792), Thread id=0xaec(27960

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click cancel to debug the application.

If I cancel to debug the following error appears:

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a
JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code
of 0x2(2). Please check computer settings .

cordbg.exe !a 0xae8

Any help much appreciated.

Do you have minimal .NET framework 1.1 installed on your rebuild PC.
Otherwise you can try .NET framework 2 or 3
