Best way to install NL2000 Version 3.0

Post by hansjohan » Sat Nov 24, 2007 3:11 am

After a frustrating two weeks I've found the best way to install this fantastic scenery, at least try this approach if you have problems.

-Download the 5 .iso files into one folder on your hard drive. ( can be external or internal). Use "Giaganet", a free download program.

-Remove ALL .......NL2000 files from your computer.

-Remove NL2000 from your FS9 scenery.cfg file

- Create a file on your hard drive *:\NL2000V3 where *is your partition letter. (In my case it is G:\NL2000V3) Remember you need about 35Gb(!) space.

-open each .iso file with winrar or winzip. DO NOT USE DEAMON TOOL, it's apain to use, in my view!

-place all the files you open with winrar into the file you created (NL2000V3). This process takes about about 20 minutes per .iso file. (Depends on your computer).

-When all the 5 .iso files have been unpacked with winrar, go to your NL2000V3 file and click on the Installer Icon, click "Accept" and "Install" and the entire program will be installed.

The advantage is that you do not have to insert a DVD each time, the install runs automatic to the end...as it should.

I hope this will prevent some frustration, hans
