Burning to DVD

Post by FatboyUK » Sat Aug 25, 2007 5:08 pm

Hello all,

Can someone tell me in idiots terms how to actually burn the 5 files to DVD? The one i did try showed up error messages saying that some contents cannot be copied to DVD, thus making it pointless in proceeding as cructial files such as the installer wont be on it.

Thanks in advance

P.S. Still 3 files to download..........my christmas trees around here somewhere..... 8O

Perhaps it's a more faster and easy way to downlaod the ISO files, which you can find at our startpage.
Please take note that you have to download them with the firefox2 browser and that the save location is a NTFS filesystem.
After the download you can check the contents of the ISO files by a free checksum program for more info on that look overhere.

If you downed the iso files you can burn them by using your dvd burn software, you have to read the manual of that software how to burn an iso file, just keep in mind do not burn at the highest speed.
There is also a second option, if you are planned to do the installation on the same computer as where the iso files are, you can use "deamon tools" it's free and to find on google.
This program creates a virtual dvd burner (in case you don't have a physical dvd burner) then you can mount the files and start the installation from there, because it's virtual you do in fact an installation directly from hdd then.
It's known that sometimes during the installation the message appear "wrong disk in volume" at that point you have to mount dvd1 again and go on.
