Installation Completion hiccough

Post by malc_yorks » Mon Jul 30, 2007 1:21 pm

Only problem I found with installing was a windows error message (wrong CDROM) at the very end - you need to place DVD1 in the drive in place of DVD5 - the installation program didn't seem to ask for this. Putting in DVD1 and pressing retry on the windows error box allowed successful completion of the installation.

I don't know if this is a known problem, I couldn't see anything else about this on the forum.

I downloaded the DVD image files by http (great connection - fast and no dropouts) and wrote the images to DVD using Nero with no problems.

Well done on the great work everyone involved.

Malcolm,

It happens in more situations that at the end the installer asks for DVD1.
If the installation closed properly at the end, it's installed 100%.

installation

Post by simgammer » Mon Jan 21, 2008 2:14 pm

My installation failed during installing Disc 4 when a pop up message stated it was the wrong volume . Tried disc 5 incase of wrong identity and went back to disc 4 then install dropped out.
Help please.

Using Foxit PDF reader require an English Manual , can the manual be downloaded on its own?
Thank You
John Glover

Hi,

When you get the error "wrong volume" then you need to put in dvd1 in your dvd player at that point.

Kind regards

Thank you for your reply and suggestion which I carried out , but found that I had started a completely new installation including additional HDD space . So I stopped the new installation and removerd the scenery completely. I'm not sure at this moment if I will try again.( I had loaded 25 Gbs from the first three disks)
Regards
