NL2000 version 3 released and downloading

Post by MadFred » Sun Jul 15, 2007 9:15 am

Now that version 3 has been released I have started the downloads with my own torrent client Azureus 2.5.0.4.

But after starting last night, what did I find on my computer this morning:
ony 500 kB downloaded of DVD1 and that's it. 8O

That was very disappointing.

I had one other torrent running at the same time, which went just fine.
I have the settings set for 5 simultanious downloads and only 20kB reserved for uploading. These settings work fine for all torrentz I have bownloaded so far.

For now I think I'll forgot about downloading this scenery for a while.

Greetings.

Manfred

If you know a thing about usenet and have a good newsserver you can try to dload it there. All dvds were upped there the last few days. So you can also dload it from there at the speed of your internet connection. In my case 30mb per sec = 1 dvd in 45 minutes.

btw upping your upload speed to 75% of your max upload speed sometimes helps a bit to get better dload speed.

Erikro,

I'm not familiair with usenet so that's no option.

Setting the upload to 75% made no difference.

I changed the order in which the torrentz are placed in the lst and now I am getting about 70 Kb/s.

So in a few days I should have them all. What a drag.

Thanks for your input.
