Runway 36L and 18R always in use at the same time at EHAM

Post by r3500vdp » Sun Jun 19, 2005 11:08 pm

Hi Guys,

First of all compliments to all the people responsible for nl2000, it's an amazing piece of work!

I have a question which I have not seen in the forum yet. I am running nl2000 2.92 on FS2002. Whenever I use Schiphol, no matter what the wind speed and direction is, I get assigned 36L for departure and at the same time traffic arrivals are on 18R, which makes for interesting collisions. Wind speed last time I tried was 12 kts. 60 degr. I have uninstalled the afcad file and after that using feature panel re-installed the nl2000 afcad files but it doesn't seem to help. Any advice / help is much appreciated.

Mathieu

Some more info on my post. It seems to be related to the afcad file. If I remove the nl2000 one and restore the default fs2002 airport, I get proper runways assigned based on heavy wind 180 / 360 degrees. If i restore the nl2000 afcad file, it is only RW36L. Is this related to start locations? Also noticed there are several EHAM afcad files present in the nl2000 folder for fs2002. Should I pick a different one?

For fs2002 we did not change te afcad so that fs2004 gives you mutli runway use. it only works with fs2004

Thanks Johan. Yes I modified the afcad file to use fixed runways for fs2002 and it works fine now. Still amazed with the level of detail of the scenery and love flying over the Netherlands (just get homesick so once in a while now...).
