What are these nasty rectangles ?

I have Netherlands 2000 on FS 2004
Version 2.91 Model 3 Classic.
I get large brown rectangles with brown texture, on the ground. They look a bit like they are supposed to be clumps of trees except that they are completely rectangular. And they look terrible. This can't be right.
Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks.
I could attach a picture but I'm not sure how to do that in this forum

Can you tell me where you find these rectangulars?
If you find them on the AB's, it is correct. To save framerate, we have decided to make clumps of trees as a rectangular. During spring, summer and autumn it looks acceptable, in winter mode I agree, it looks bad.

This is summer. There are blocks like this all over. I'm not sure what an AB is but they are around the airports. It is really supposed to be like this? It would be better just to take them out. This is such a great project it's hard to believe it's really supposed to be like this.
I thought at first it was some kind of problem with mesh.

That are "just" the 3D forest blocks. From the air I think they look OK (better then flat polygons with a forest texture). But from the ground it is a different story. That is why we try to use normal tree models around the airfields.
Is the a simple way....

Is the a simple way for me to take them out? A .bgl file I can remove?
Afterall the NL is not a heavily forested country. Wide open spaces look okay.

No, these forests are not in special BGL files. You would loose the rest of the base scenery as well if you remove these BGL files.

They don't look that bad, do they?
And I'll tell you, without thse 3D forests, NL2000 will loose lot's of 'dynamic'.
