Displacement of runway in EHRD

Post by Pirogov » Wed Jul 21, 2004 2:43 pm

Currently I fly with FS2004 and installed your wonderful pack NL2000 v2.91. All airfields look well, exept for EHRD (Rotterdam).
Everytime when I try to takeoff from this place - I find myself little displaced from current runway. I stand on the grass in parallel to the runway in ~50 meters. I have uninstalled nl2000 and reinstalled again with same resultat. On the map I can see that I'm on the runway, but really not. If I turn off Neterlands Area in Sceneries - runway position moves on the right place. This problem occurs only with EHRD. Please help me - i'd like to fly Netherlands. :(

Thank you very much for any help.

EHRD problems

Post by Sparks » Fri Jul 23, 2004 11:45 am

G'day, :D

Read your problem/solution with EHRD. I have the same problem with a few extra ones. Besides the taxi of planes on grass, I also don't see the diagram of the airport in the Updown view, and when using FSNAV i also get taxiways and runway double.
Can you advise me the tweak/adjustment to get rid of this problem please.
Much appreciated and thanks

Did you use the featurepanel to install the correct AFCAD files etc?

EHRD problems

Post by Sparks » Sun Jul 25, 2004 9:43 am

G'day Arno,

Thks for response, muchly appreciated. In regards to your question whether AFCAD files have been activated?
Well I have ticked almost everything, outside the gliders tap and in the Miscellaneous tap also ticked "NL-2000 altitude".
Just one thing, could it be possible that other AFCAD files for EHRD could be interfering with the NL-2000 ones? :?:

Regards from Down-Under

Could be that other files are interfering, which version of FS are you using? In Fs2002 I think it is not possible, but you can check it very simple. Look up EHRD in the goto airport menu and see how many hits you get.

Problem EHRD

Post by Sparks » Thu Aug 05, 2004 8:33 am

Just a bit more regarding problems EHRD. I have rectified some of them, like A/C acting as submarines, double RW and Tw etc. I mentioned in my previous post about possibility of double AFCAD files. Well did some checking in my FS2004 directory and found AFCAD files from Dutch airports in my AddOn Scenery\Scenery\ folder. One of them was for EHRD.
I downloaded the file nederland.zip by Fred Bakker with AFCAD files for several Dutch airports. After deleting the EHRD file, the problems were gone. I can now taxi on taxiways, go on the proper runways and can see all the AI planes ok. FSNavigator also has no more double runways and taxiways.
So maybe it might be worth a try too look for double files and hopefully it might rectify some problems other Simmers have.
Thanks again for responses on my postings.
Cu again Guys
Safe flying
