Installation in FS 2004

Post by macwino » Tue Aug 26, 2003 4:23 am

Can NL2000 be installed in FS 2004? And if so, are there any problems I might encounter? Thanks.

Yes, it can be installed in Fs2004. If you do a manual install as described in the manual it should work fine in Fs2004. If you have already installed it in Fs2002, you can also just add that same folder to the Fs2004 scenery library.

There are some small issues with the scenery, but none of them causes a crash (so not fatal errors). On some places transparant textures don't work fine and also there is a problem with the ILS on the major airports. We are working on those things.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll move my NL2000 folder over from FS2002 right away. I just couldn't remember if I'd had to add files to other FS2002 folders or not. I'm glad it can be so easy. I'll be looking forward to your FS2004 fixes. Thanks for all the fine work.

PS, don't forget to add the flatten switches again to the scenery.cfg :!:

Oops, a great reminder. Guess I better read the installation instructions again. Thanks.
