Installation routine can´t find FS9 registry data

Post by Holger34 » Sun Jul 15, 2007 1:38 pm

Hi!

The installation routine terminates the installation of NL2000 V3 telling me to reinstall FS 2004 because it is unable to find its registry data.

Isn´t there another solution for the problem ? Does it mean I have to reinstall FS 2004 from scratch which means losing all my scenario installations, custom aircraft and AI-traffic ??

Does anyone have a solution ?

Hey, I found this link on the Dutch forum:

http://tweakfs.com/download/fs9path_utility.zip

This tool puts your FS2004 back in your registry without removing any of your data so you can install NL2000 without any problems.

Hi

That fix worked fine for me.

Absolutely delighted with Version 3.

Thanks to everyone at NL2000

Alternatively rename your "FS2004" folder with all the installed scenries to for example "FS2004_old", make a copy of your "FS9.cfg" (if you have made changes there), make a new clean installation to Folder "FS2004", and after that change the folder names again: "FS2004" to "FS2004_inst" and "FS2004_old" back to "FS2004".

Tweak Utility is for sure a good alternative to that ...
