Problems with photo scenery

Post by snoopy51 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 2:24 pm

Hi, I have installed your photo sceneries (all 12),together with several of the airports.I must say it is a great job You have made here and I enjoy to fly around over the Netherlands.
But now I get after 5-8 min. flying (in a fighter plane) an error message:

"Your computer has run out of available memory. Please restart FSX and select different graphics, scenery or traffic settings",

and the FSX closes.
As I understand, it is because the scenery can not load as quickly as I fly.
I have made my settings exactly as You recommend in the manual about settings, also I have made my page file on a secondary hard drive with a size on 35000MB (35 GB).
I have just build me a new computer with following specifications:
CPU : Intel i7-4770K (overclocked to 4,7 GHz)
MB : Asus Z87-Expert
HD : Intel 320 SSD 280 GB
GPU : Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 OC (3GB ram)
Ram : Kingston Hyper-X 2x8GB 1600 MHz
So I will mean, if this PC can not cope with the photo sceneries, what shall I then do ?
My frame rate is about 28-30 ( set it to max. 30 frame pr. sec.)
Hope that You can help me here, with some advice.
Yours sincerely

Maybe try to lower the sliders of the items "graphics" and/or "scenery" and/or Traffic.

If that's not working then maybe look at the site of Microsoft:

Hi, arnoj
Thanks for your answer, I have tweaked my FSX.CFG and that helped, now I fly without any crash (until now).
I can only recommend to tweak the cfg fil, I used:

We just want to say, that our scenery is made for VFR flights, So flights with a limited speed.
When you fly an fighter plane with an great speed, it is possible, that your PC cannot load the scenery data in time.
Our scenery files are to big then.
