Re-installation of NL2000

Post by Guillaume2 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 8:29 pm

Hello all,

That's my first message on this forum. I hope you will understand my bad English.

Few months ago I installed NL2000 without any problem.

After a problem with the PC, I format and install XP and various prog on C:\ and make a Backup with Norton Ghost.

I install FS9 on D:\ and after NL2000 but no scenery declarations appears. I do an uninstall and reinstall. (2 hours each) and same problem.

So, I use my Ghost fo the disk C:\ (It never saw any file from FS) and reinstall FS9 on D:\ and other planes and scenery. (45 Gb at this time). And when I want to reinstall NL2000 it says that NL2000 already exists. And naturally the uninstall is impossible.

I clean the registry with "Regseeker" and same message.

Where is the fuc..... file that makes that NL2000 already exista.

Thanks in advance for yous answers.

Why not a french forum for a so beautiful scenery.

Please check the scenery.cfg in your user directory for entries of NL-2000:

c:\Documents and Settings\<your>\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\scenery.cfg

The directory 'Application Data' is an hidden directory.

I've just seen that there was the same problem in the scenery.cfg in D:\FS2004.

I can now reinstall NL2000, but where is the problem ??????????

I don't understand what the problem is now. Did you reinstall NL2000 after you have removed the NL-2000 entries from both scenery.cfg files?

Yes, I removed entries in both scenery.cfg and I can reinstall NL2000. It just finish now but I have corrected some lines in scenery.cfg.

That seems to be OK. It's the first time I have problems vwith this scenery.

I'll continue tomorrow with a short flight.
