Building NL2000: preview of EHRD

The NL2000 is still working on version version 4 of the scenery. They'd like to make faster progress, but are limited by resources. Building is steadily continuing and more internal projects are assigned and completed. The team is in the stage of a feature freeze. They'd also like to show off one of these completed projects. This time round, Rotterdam (EHRD) is the showpiece.

Bouwen aan NL2000: blik op EHRD

Het NL2000 team is nog steeds bezig met het ontwikkelen van de versie 4 scenery. Het team wil graag sneller gaan dan het nu gaat, maar is beperkt qua mogelijke inzet. Het bouwen gaat echter gestaag door en er worden nog steeds intern projecten opgepakt en afgerond. Het team is in het stadium om keuzes af te ronden wat nog wel en wat niet meer te nemen. Het team wil ook weer graag wat laten zien van Ã©Ã©n van de projecten. Ditmaal staat vliegveld Rotterdam (EHRD) in de picture.

NL2000 association founded

Since summer of 2009, NL2000 has been legally founded as an association, which was ratified at the solicitors' office. The motivation behind this step was that NL2000 contains information, files and pictures which are copyrighted by third parties, and in some cases we have signed contracts to procure these. This association is the legal vehicle with whom these deals are signed. While being formal, the team will keep it's rebel way of operating. We try to achieve the utmost in scenery design, and breaking boundaries of innovation to create the most realistic scenery possible.

NL2000 vereniging opgericht

Sinds de zomer van 2009 is de NL2000 vereniging officieel bij de notaris bekrachtigd. NL2000 maakt ten behoeve van de scenery design gebruik van bestanden van derden. Hierover heeft zij contracten afgesloten. Daarom heeft het team besloten een vereniging op te richten waaronder de contracten geborgd kunnen worden. De vereniging is dan wel formeel, het team blijft zijn eigen en rebelse stijl van werken hanteren. We halen het onderste uit de kan wat betreft scenery design en gaan over grenzen van de techniek om de scenery zo natuurgetrouw mogelijk te maken.

NL2000 V3.0 special edition, new aerial photographs (only for FS2004)

One of the new features in NL2000 V4.0 will be a terrain scenery based on aerial photographs from 2005. Not only are these photos more recent but have more lively colours and better contrast.

Because a lot of users still fly FS2004, we decided to release these new photos for NL2000V3.0 as well.

With this new set of photos NL2000 V3.0 gets a proper facelift. The coast line, beaches and rivers are all more accurate as well. We did not change anything to the airports or 3D objects, we are reserving that for V4.0.

NL2000 V3.0 special edition, de nieuwe foto-ondergrond (alleen voor Fs2004)

EÃ©n van de nieuwe items in NL2000 V4.0 zal een nieuwe foto-ondergrond zijn gebaseerd op luchtfoto's uit 2005. Deze foto's zijn niet alleen recenter maar hebben ook veel meer kleur en contrast.

Omdat nog heel veel van onze gebruikers met Fs2004 vliegen hebben we besloten deze foto-ondergrond ook voor NL2000 V3.0 uit te brengen.

Met deze nieuwe set foto's krijgt NL2000 V3.0 een ware facelift. Naast de nieuwe foto's liggen ook de zee, het strand en de rivieren er wat netter in. Aan de velden en 3D objecten hebben we niets veranderd, die bewaren we voor NL2000 V4.0.

Minimal system requirements

Before downloading NL2000 version 3.0 special edition make sure your system meets the minimal system requirements!. The installer requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, you can download this on www.microsoft.com. NL2000 Version 3.0 requires Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and is not compatible with Microsoft FSX.

Download Instructions

NL2000 version 3.0 special edition is distributed via the BitTorrent network. BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol. BitTorrent is a method of distributing large amounts of data. For more information about BitTorrent see Wikipedia. The total download size of NL2000 version 3.0 special edition is 24 GB!

If you already know how to download a file via BitTorrent you can simply skip the next part and go to the .torrent files download option. Otherwise, please use our Easy Download option

Option 1: Easy download

Click on the following link:
- Easy download NL2000 version 3.0 special edition.
When asked to run or save the file, choose to save it.
Save the file on a location on your hard drive, for example on your desktop.
Start the downloaded "NL2000V3se.exe" file by double clicking on it.
The program will now ask where you want to save the files. Please choose a location with enough free disk space, at least 25 GB of free space is needed and click next.
It is possible your firewall will ask if the program is allowed to connect to the Internet. Choose to allow a connection to the Internet.
The download will now start, the screen will look like:
Leave your computer on while the scenery is being downloaded. When you have to shutdown or restart your computer, the download will resume after you have restarted your computer.
When you keep the program running, you will help other users downloading the file. So simply choose to minimize the program and keep it running for about a week.
When all files are finished downloading you can start the installer by double clicking NL2000V3se.exe in the directory "DVD1". For more information please read the manual on DVD 1!

Option 2: Download via a BitTorrent client

When you have already installed a BitTorrent client. You can click the following .torrent file to start downloading. So if you don't have a BitTorrent client installed, please use option 1: easy download.

Voordat u NL2000 versie 3.0 special edition download wees er zeker van dat uw systeem aan de minimale systeemeisen voldoet!. Optie 1: Simpele download

Als gevraagd wordt het bestand uit te voeren of op te slaan, kies voor opslaan van het bestand.
Sla het bestand op uw harde schijf op, bijvoorbeeld op uw bureaublad.
Start het programma op dat u zojuist gedownload heeft ("NL2000V3se.exe"). Doe dit door dubbel op het bestand te klikken.
Het programma vraagt waar de bestanden opgeslagen moeten worden. Kies voor een locatie met genoeg vrije ruimte, minimaal 25 GB vrije ruimte en klik vervolgens op ok.
Het is mogelijk dat uw firewall vraagt of het programma een verbinding mag maken met Internet. Geef toestemming voor een connectie met Internet.
Het downloaden zal nu beginnen. Het scherm zal er zo uitzien:
Laat uw computer aan terwijl het scenery gedownload wordt. Als u uw computer moet uitzetten of herstarten dan gaat het downloaden automatisch door als de computer weer opgestart is. Let op: het downloaden zal lang duren!
Zolang u dit programma blijft draaien helpt u anderen met het downloaden van het bestand. Kies dus om dit programma te minimaliseren en blijf het voor ongeveer een week draaien.
Als het downloaden klaar is, kunt u het installatie programma starten door dubbel te klikken op het bestand NL2000V3se.exe in de map "DVD1". Voor meer informatie, lees alstublieft de handleiding op DVD 1!

Optie 2: Downloaden via een BitTorrent client

Als u al een BitTorrent programma geÃ¯nstalleerd heeft kunt u klikken op het volgende .torrent bestand om te beginnen met downloaden. Als u dus geen BitTorrent client geÃ¯nstalleerd heeft gebruik dan optie 1: simpele download.

Screenshots en video Vliegbasis Leeuwarden (EHLW)

Vliegbasis Leeuwarden is in de nieuwe versie 4 helemaal opgeknapt. In versie 3 mochten we geen foto-ondergrond van de velden verspreiden. In versie 4 doen we dit wel. Onder ander om die reden zijn alle gebouwen op EHLW opnieuw geplaatst.

AFB Leeuwarden has been completely revamped in version 4. We weren't allowed to release a photo realistic surface tiles during version 3. With version 4 we are allowed to release them to the flying community, and that's one of the reasons why we needed to reposition all buildings.
